Vinification of red wine takes place after careful grape sorting. Teran is made every year, and matures in wooden barrels for a short period of time. Coronica Teran is considered to be the most authentic and honest expression of the grape variety Teran.

Purple color and plenty of Teran sharpness, mellowed by malo… gripped by tiny tannins and unique astringency that makes every hearty meal the best it can be.

The harvest begins after a thorough tasting of the grapes. Destemming and crushing are followed by fermentation and maceration, the duration of which depends on the extraction of polyphenols and aromas. The malolactic fermentation generally takes place after the alcoholic fermentation.

Here, in the red Istrian soil, Coronica vineyards and vines are growing, and, as far as the nature allows, the highest possible quality grapes of our indigenous varieties – predominantly Istrian Malvasia and Teran. Most of the time we are committed to working with these two varieties. They have always told a story about the Coronica family as Istrian farmers, contadini, who have been taking care of the land just as if it was one of their own family – because it is indeed precisely that, and has been – for decades!

Testament vineyards are in the wine-growing region of Northern Dalmatia, in the immediate vicinity of the medieval town, Šibenik. With the unique climate and the specificity of the soil. In Šibenik area grapes have constantly struggled to grow and thrive. This centuries-old ritual of survival is felt and seen in Testament wines’ intense and deep colors, and in their intense flavors and aromas. Testament unique wines come from the Pošip and Babić grape. Both varieties are indigenous, and Babić grapes only grow on this part of the Dalmatian coast, where Testament vineyards are located. Testament wines are created in an organic production process with the benefits of the region’s special microclimate and soil, giving them a particularly rich and complex taste. Dalmatian dog is the ‘younger brother’ of Testament Babić.
