Almasy 394 Furmint 2015

- +
$35.98245,59 HRK

The Almásy Collection is an exclusive portfolio of top-quality wines made from the grape varieties of central & eastern Europe – both classic & exotic – selected by Sarah Heller MW & Groszer Wein. Almásy: Wine Without Borders reaches back into the history of the noble Hungarian family Almásy. The collection reimagines the wine cellar that might have greeted guests to Bernstein Castle had the territory never been divided. It includes regional classics like bright, bracing Grüner Veltliner and juicy Zweigelt, but also historic sites and varieties too long overlooked, made with partners who share our goal of revitalizing this heritage. Each wine is named according to where it stands relative to Bernstein Castle, the symbol of this project to rebind broken ties. Furmint is the main variety in Hungarian Tokaj and although it has been authorized for the production of Quality Wine in Austria since 1987, it is rarely cultivated.
