Baraka Prisbus Riserva 2016

- +
$53.99

BARAKA Winery is a small family boutique winery on Srima, a small peninsula between Šibenik and Vodice. The winery is positioned near the early Christian basilica from the early 6th century. The Srima Peninsula is spanned by century-old dry-stone walls, surrounded by the estuary of the Krka River, the beautiful canal of Saint Ante and the Adriatic sea. Creating an exciting micro-location and a terroir for growing grapevines. The vineyard of the Barak family was established in 2005 with international varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and local varieties like Plavina and Babić. A total of about 11,500 plants on the 4ha estate. Besides the vineyard, there is also a winery with a tasting room and an olive grove, lavender and other Mediterranean plants. In Baraka winery, they strive to create ideal conditions for the growth of vines in the traditional Mediterranean ecosystem.

This wine was aged for 14-16 months in new French Oak. Full of charred wood, black cherry, cassis, capsicum, and graphite flavors. The wood comes on strong and may be too heavy for some, but it is well integrated. Medium bodied Bordeaux blend that is plush in the mouth and has a long finish guided by fine tannins. Really pleasant with low alcohol at 12% ABV.

  • Pizza
