Groszer Wein Pet Nat 2017

Groszer-Wein-Pet-Nat
- +
$25.99

If you stand on the Eisenberg and gaze off into the distance, in addition to next-door neighbor Hungary you can also see clear across the Steiermark to Slovenia. It is the passion for the distinctive and remarkable terroir of the Eisenberg in Südburgenland that drives Matthias Krön and Markus Bach. On this extraordinary hillside with its old grapevines growing in steeply sloped vineyard sites, unique wines are created. Pet Nat is French and stands for petillant (tingling) naturel (of course). This is an almost forgotten original form of champagne production. The grapes are harvested, pressed and fermented spontaneously. In the middle of the fermentation, the must is filled with residual sugar into the bottles so that the fermentation in the bottle continues and carbon dioxide is bound. The remaining fermentation yeast is not removed, the result is a multilayered Pet Nat with a lot of fruit and fine yeast.
