Roam Cellars Kanamota 2014

- +
24 left in stock

As a 4th generation native son of St.Helena, Mario Roam Sculatti started the adventure of Roam Cellars. His mentor, Denis Malbec, brought a truly classical style from Chateau Latour in Bordeaux to the wines. Being a Napa native, Mario knows the bountiful meadows, hills, and riverbanks of the region. Mount St.Helena or as by the Wappo called “Kanamota”, an iconic towering volcano located in the north of Napa Valley, was a special landmark seen almost everywhere in the valley.

Generous with ripe fig, boysenberry and blueberry compote entwined with smokiness define the aromatics and the bouquet. Layered fruitcake is backed by ample, ganache-like tannins, while accents of black tea roam on the palate. Bay leaf and tobacco provide savory accents to the grounded finale echoing on and on. This silky Cabernet Sauvignon is on the elegant side, so enjoy with lamb, duck, mushrooms, pasta as some ideas to put together a candlelit dinner celebrating life.
